Palmillas Natural Pool

Rent a boat and sail to Palmilla beach, a small and isolated paradise in the southwest of the Parque Nacional del Este, in La Romana.

It is accessed by boat from Bayahibe or La Romana, since it cannot be accessed by land. Very close to Saona Island, it is a paradisiacal place surrounded by the Eastern National Park that usually has very few visitors and is worth visiting.

Palmilla Beach, La Romana

This secluded beach has no facilities of any kind or buildings beyond a few shacks with palm trees, since it is within the protected area of the national park; and it is a destination for tourists looking for a quiet day at the beach sunbathing, swimming, diving or taking long walks on its white sands.

The exuberant forest that borders the beach gives it that image of a tropical paradise that all travelers look for when they go to the Dominican Republic. On the other hand, its inaccessibility by land protects this wonderful beach from the massive arrivals of visitors, being one of the quietest places in the area.
