How to get to Catalina island from other provinces?

From Santo Domingo: If you are in Santo Domingo, you can drive to La Romana, which takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. From there, you can take one of the tourist boats to Catalina Island.

From Punta Cana: From Punta Cana, the road trip to La Romana is about 1 hour. Upon arriving in La Romana or Bayahibe, you will find several tour operators offering transportation to Catalina Island.

From other provinces in the country: The fastest way to get there is via private transport or intercity buses to La Romana. Once in the city, you can take a boat or catamaran to the island.

Does People lives in the Catalina Island?

No people does not live in Catalina island, some boat tours might offer overnight stays, but normally all the workers move daily by boat to Catalina island to offer services to private catamarans coming to have lunch in the island and also have drinks.
